Copy a list, paste it into a new note, and you’re running the system in about five minutes. The shortcut is at the bottom.
Tap Copy on whichever list below suits you.
Open Notes, start a new note, paste. It arrives as plain text, which is expected.
Select the items under a store, tap the checklist button, and they all convert at once. Repeat per store, and leave the headings as headings.

Same shape, nothing filled in. Aisle labels in the order most US stores run, so you can add your own items under each and delete the labels afterwards.

The capture shortcut
One tap adds an item to your list without opening Notes.
- Reads your note and shows you your own store names
- You pick a store, dictate the item, done
- Lands as a real checklist item, circle and all
- Rename or add a store later and the picker follows automatically
Needs Apple Intelligence, so an iPhone 15 Pro or newer. The item lands at the bottom of the note rather than under the store you picked, so you’ll drag a few strays into place each week. Put it on your Lock Screen in place of the camera button and you’ll actually use it.
